EAST BARRE, Vermont (WCAX) – Some Vermont companies are going above and beyond to support Ukraine.
This includes the Vermont Flannel Companywhich collects medical supplies to send to those in need.
They have collected thousands of articles from their five sites.
It’s part of the larger “Vermont for Ukraine” project.
Vermont Flannel Company owner Mark Baker says he was asked if he would help with the drive and was happy to help.
Donations include packaged medical supplies, such as bandages or Tylenol.
“I think we’ve got a small state with a big heart, and I think you know, it’s very natural for a lot of businesses in Vermont to help out. And we’ve shown it through COVID and we’ve shown it through a lot of different things. And it’s just great to be part of the Vermont community that’s willing to help out,” Baker said.

Baker says Vermont Flannel will also send $5,000 of his blankets to Ukraine on Thursday.
If you want to contribute, you can drop items off at any store from now until April 16. There are locations in Woodstock, Ferrisburgh, Johnson, Burlington and East Barre.
He says Vermont Flannel also runs a year-round program called “Flannel for Food” where they donate meals to the food bank for the purchase of tote bags or blankets.
